Britainโs Got Talent, like its American counterpart, isnโt afraid to play with viewersโ emotions. The show held an audition for its fifteenth season on a recent episode. Nick Edwardsโ performance stunned the judges, the audience, and even Edwards himselfโbut he wasnโt in line to try out for the show.
Unbeknownst to Edwards, his mother, two daughters, and other cast members of the play entered the stage at BGT. Edwards sat in the hallway seemingly unsure of what would happen next. Edwardsโ mother Tracy started to explain, โWell, Nick doesnโt know anything about this and we surprise him because we want him to come and sing because he sings a beautiful song for girls. Go ahead, Nick.
In tears, Edwards makes his way from his audience seat to the stage where he eventually gives a moving rendition of โDaddyโs Little Girlโ by Ernie Halter. Wow, we had a full day scheduled. Being called on stage โcompletely shocks me,โ Edwards said. The singer responded, โI think over the years I have lost a lot of confidence in my singing,โ when asked why he had said he would never participate in BGT. I typically perform it in the shower at home.
